Charlie Coward, Managing Director at Hillbrush, the UK’s largest manufacturer of brushes and specialist hygienic cleaning tools, has been voted on to the Board of Directors of the American Brush Manufacturing Association (ABMA) at its recent Annual Convention. Charlie is the first European to be voted onto the ABMA’s Board.
Charlie has also been voted to Chair the ABMA’s Safety and Standards Committee.
The annual ABMA event, now in its 102nd year, sees global leaders in the brush manufacturing industry gather to discuss ideas, share industry knowledge, develop new and existing relationships and celebrate everything the brush manufacturing industry has to offer.
Charlie has been a long-standing supporter of the ABMA, following in the footsteps of his father Philip Coward attending the ABMA annual convention since 2009. Hillbrush Inc., is based in Baltimore and distributes Hillbrush’s UK-manufactured hygiene brushes for food processing and food handling, including anti-microbial, metal detectable and resin set brushes and cleaning equipment.
Speaking about his appointment, Charlie Coward said:
"I am delighted to have been appointed to the ABMA Board and to chair the safety and standards committee. Involvement of the ABMA at the highest levels will enable Hillbrush to share our quality health and safety standards – something which we take extremely seriously – as well as giving us the opportunity to learn best practice from industry colleagues that can be adopted at home and abroad."
