At Hillbrush, we are a family-owned, fourth-generation business renowned for our high-quality cleaning and hygiene products.  Operating from modern premises in Mere, Wiltshire, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team.

 

About the Role

As the Electrical Engineering Manager, you will oversee all electrical and engineering operations across our facility. From building maintenance to process innovation, your leadership will be pivotal in enhancing efficiency and reliability across the board.

 

Collaborating with key managers across Health & Safety, Facilities, Brushmaking, and Mouldings, you will drive improvements in our electrical and mechanical systems, as well as our production equipment. Your role will combine strategic planning, technical expertise, and people management to ensure the success of both your team and the wider business.

 

Working Hours and Benefits

 

This is a site-based role, working 44 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 7am to 4:45pm,and Friday 7am to 3:45pm. Salary £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

 

Develop and implement best practice strategies for electrical and engineering operations
Lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce downtime, and optimise efficiency
Manage and oversee electrical and facility-related maintenance and technical projects
Ensure all project milestones are met and align with business goals
Identify and implement capital equipment investments and process improvements
Provide leadership and technical guidance to the engineering team, fostering a culture of growth and success
 
Maintain robust and accurate technical documentation
Build strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and local suppliers
Monitor and manage the engineering budget
Support and mentor team members, ensuring they are trained and equipped for success.
