Factory

Hill Brush is one of only a few UK based manufacturers of brushware and hygienic cleaning tools. Our factory is located in the small town of Mere, in the south-west corner of Wiltshire, 100 miles west of London

The factory covers 10 acres (4 hectares) with 750m² of offices, 4,000m² of production area, 8,000m² of warehousing and 2,000m² of timber storage.

A family owned and run business since 1922, Hill Brush employs a number of local people, many of whom form generations of Hill Brush employees.

Our passion for innovation and continual product development means space at our current factory has become limited and we are in the process of developing a brand new factory on the outskirts of Mere.

Moulding Division

Producing millions of products every year, the new factory will cater for advancements in technology, the inclusion of the HB Mouldings Division and will become an integral part of the local and wider community.

The UK is currently one of the top 10 manufacturing nations of the world. Hill Brush are passionate believers in English design and are proud of our manufacturing heritage.

We control all aspects of our manufacturing processes. From sourcing FDA Approved materials for our range of hygienic cleaning tools, to choosing the very highest quality fibres for our Traditional Quality range.

We believe in the value of producing high quality products using high quality materials and continue to introduce new products based on industry demands and after a period of evaluation and testing.

As a result of increased demand of our hygienic cleaning tools, in 2011, we brought our entire injection moulding facilities in-house and formed HBC Mouldings. In recent years, we have invested heavily in the latest machinery and have provided training and guidance to our growing team of operatives.

The HBC Mouldings consists of a large number of injection moulding machines with various shot weights and clamp forces. Due to increased demand for our hygiene products, we expanded capacity at our mouldings division and in 2014, we invested heavily in new moulding machinery, which has greatly improved efficiency and productivity. These machines are highly regarded within the industry and Hill Brush were finalists in Plastic & Rubber Weekly Magazine’s Plastic Industry Awards 2014. This award highlights companies who invest in the most energy efficient moulding machines and our new equipment has reduced our power consumption by 50%. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint and by investing in new technologies we will continue to reduce our levels.

Our products are used extensively across numerous sectors, including healthcare, food and beverage and industrial. If you have a specific trade moulding requirement and would like to send us an enquiry, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
